Sandman [Scraped]

from Daily Bases [Scrape Tape] by Patch William

lyrics

The meditations in my head are resonatin
I can't tell if these are angels or the friends of Satan
maybe it's true that I just reached a higher elevation
but what's gonna happen when my soul embraces resignation?
I close my eyes in my imagination
and I awaken to events beyond my calculation
and comprehension of the world in which it's takin' place in
to my amazement, all my dreams are seein formulation
shit, I got my head stuck in a cloud
and even when it rains the pessimisms not allowed
it's been so long I forgot what it's about
I ain't comin down, mostly cuz I forgot how
the sand's been spread around my eyes for a while now
the lands and oceans coincide in my coastal town
the murky waters in the rabbit hole are flushin out
and I been up and down so many times I lost count

I don't know what's real or what's just a dream
would you believe me if I told you I never woke up
from a living dream? I'm 23, I never growed up
I don't know what's real or what's just a dream
I never did see the Sandman show up
but I think that I'm asleep because the world ain't blow up

I close my eyes, it's no surprise, I can see my dreams
the y manifest in every breath within my rhyme scheme
in lookin back on what I've done, I must be trippin out
cuz these are all my childhood visions that I'm livin out
a different route was never possible, I guess
since the universe mechanical, the options are a jest
like a clock I never rest, I never stop, I do my best
but every moment that I tock is me walkin to my death
I swear to God I wanna believe that I'm not automated
that this ain't predetermined, that we are not fated
that this ain't just a dream, that destiny ain't touchin me
but everything that is, must be, so now I'm feelin faded
I wander patiently, purposely and aimlessly,
musically arrangin these times, so you can wait and see
generatin latency, creationn, no complaceny
until the day I wake, I'ma make it up blatantly,
cuz

I don't know what's real or what's just a dream
would you believe me if I told you I never woke up
from a living dream? I'm 23, I never growed up
I don't know what's real or what's just a dream
I never did see the Sandman show up
but I think that I'm asleep because the world ain't blow up
